Mayo Clinic

Mayo Clinic is conducting a "proof-of-principle" clinical trial to study how patients and physicians understand and utilize predictive genetic risk assessment. This study seeks to answer three fundamental questions: What hopes do patients have for predictive genetic testing? How do they interpret the results? How do physicians deal with the uncertain and probabilistic nature of genetic risk information when caring for patients? The study is funded jointly by Navigenics and Mayo Clinic.
