Vance Vanier, M.D. is the CEO and President of Navigenics. Dr. Vanier has spent the last decade of his career as a leader in the field of prevention and personalized medicine. After working as an emergency physician on the front lines of medicine and observing the overwhelming need for new preventive technologies, Dr. Vanier became a partner in the life sciences practice at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV). Recognizing the early promise of preventive genomics, he joined Navigenics in early 2008 as the company’s first Chief Medical Officer. More
Amy DuRoss, Vice President of Policy and Business Affairs
Amy DuRoss served as chief of staff for the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, established in 2004 by the passage of Proposition 71, which provides $3 billion in funding for stem cell research in California. She also played a key role in the genesis of CIRM as vice chairman and executive director of Proposition 71, conceiving and drafting the initiative, raising $30 million in campaign funding, building the country's largest patient advocacy initiative coalition and managing all strategic and implementation aspects of the campaign. Dietrich Stephan, Ph.D., Co-founder and Chief Science Officer
Dietrich Stephan is a human geneticist on the faculty of the Translational Genomics Research Institute and chairman of the National Institutes of Health Neuroscience Microarray Consortium. He has identified genes that predispose to disorders such as autism, exercise-induced heart attacks and sudden infant death syndrome, and contributed to understanding a multitude of common disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Matthew Garrett has over 15 years of experience in finance, operations, marketing and business development for medical technology, bio-pharmaceutical and genetic research companies. Prior to joining Navigenics, Mr. Garrett worked at several venture start-ups, and has also held key positions at Affymetrix and Guidant Corporation. More
Tom Morris, Vice President of Clinical Lab Operations
Tom Morris has more than 28 years of industry experience in genetic analysis, genetic technologies, and laboratory operations. Prior to joining Navigenics, Mr. Morris served as Vice President and General Manager of operations at Affymetrix. In that role he, was responsible for site operations in the manufacture of instruments, reagents and arrays. More
