Lisa Ku, M.S., CGC
Lisa received her master's degree in genetic counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 1998. She has since been involved in several clinical, research, and laboratory activities related to adult-onset genetic conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Lisa has practiced primarily in academic settings, including the University of California, San Francisco; the Cardiovascular Institute of the University of Colorado; and, most recently, the Hereditary Cancer Clinic and the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control at the University of Colorado. Additionally, she has worked in a laboratory setting providing telephone-based counseling and education regarding genetic testing to both patients and healthcare providers.
Lisa continues to strive for expansion of genetic education and awareness within the community. Currently she is chair of the Colorado Cancer Coalition Genetics Task Force. She is collaborating with other genetic counselors in the state to improve the accessibility and availability of genetic services.
